In 2015, Michael fled his native Canada due to a hockey-related incident. Despite not fully knowing the language and constant exposure to above-zero temperatures, he adapted well to life in Australia.
Cutting his teeth in Australian advertising and working on top brands with some of the country’s brightest creative minds, he continued to strive toward his goals of creating award-worthy work and understanding cricket.
Spending 3.5 wondrous years in Melbourne gave him new global perspectives, while daring him to take risks and adapt to any new situation. It also gave him the confidence to live outside his comfort zone and push himself to continually improve his craft and invest in his passions.
However, after gaining valuable experience abroad and avoiding any potential shark attacks, he made the decision to ultimately return home to be closer to his family, friends and bagels.
